What surprised me about the David Clark series was how many people vouched for their durability and customer service. I chose this relatively newer model 10-13.4 over the more traditional 10-30/40 series because I preferred the gooseneck-style mic boom. My head and ears are not overly large, and the headset is very comfortable, provides an effective seal against noise, was not objectionably hot nor heavy during summertime, and allowed wearing sunglasses without any problems. The pillow top spreads the headset weight on my head so I don't really notice them. The longest flight segment I have flown with these is only about 2 hours, so I cannot judge if long flight segments remain as comfortable.A purchaser will need to order a carrying case, and one might also order some extra ear cushions. Simply put, they do what they're supposed to do, without any fuss.The gel ear cups are super comfy and seal to your head even when wearing thick-framed sunglasses, and don't press the arms of the glasses into your temples. The boom mic stays put and sounds great - directional electret rejects most ambient noise in noisy cockpits, when windows open during taxi, etc. In other words, your co-pilot and the tower hear you, not your airplane, when you key-up. Add an in-line BlueTooth adapter to listen to music through the stereo 13.4's - no need to spend $1000 for Bose or Lightspeeds to get BlueTooth. And the drivers actually sound great for music, not just intercom speech. Made in America with an honest warranty, and an honest company that actually stands behind their product.
